How to keep get it and how to keep it. We all have things we love to buy or collect. When it gets to be overwhelming that’s when you call a personal organizer. We have a service for that!

Clutter Optimism Countdown.
Locate the area where clutter irritates you the most. How about the garage? Do you want to be able to park your car in the garage? Or create a workspace?
List goals.
The Personal Organizer assesses the garage and estimates the number of sessions. Next divide the garage into parts; walls, corners, or just creating a path! The Personal Organizer (that’s us! Shannon & Kim) will take your vision and set fresh goals.
Session 1 Session 1 Session 2-The path!
Understanding clutter consequences.
At each stage of the organizing process, it is appropriate to assess your progress. Inevitably the client will say at the end of the session, “I thought we would get more done.”
We empathize with our clients. They want it to be done. They have lived with the clutter for so long. Especially with a garage. It takes time to get through the entire garage space.
Now they have hope that it will be resolved. That is a great reaction. It helps to motivate people to continue organizing.
Time to declutter.
We have specific goals, a date, and a 3-hour session. Each session includes taking all items out, sorting and then making decisions. We have our three piles; donate, recycle, or throw away. After that we reorganize the space to put back the items the client wants to keep. That is the goal. Decide what to keep, display it well, and use it. Even a garage needs a makeover.
Session 3 Session 3 Session 4-Now a complete
path around the garage!
Evaluate your organizing session.
Be prepared. Organizing decisions are frustrating, emotional, and exhausting. Expect to be overwhelmed, anxious, excited all at the same time. Your Personal Organizer will gently nudge you to make decisions and will keep to the scheduled session time.
Assess your progress by looking at the amount of stuff you donated, recycled, or threw away! Notice the empty boxes or bins, the full recycle container, and more room in the garage!
Donations Session 5 Last corner of garage. Empty boxes--more room!
Anything left, (there was a lot), will be sold at an estate sale this summer.
The client can safely, walk in and around the garage. We moved stuff in boxes to containers, donated items to Habitat for Humanity, recycled papers, and threw away damaged items that couldn't be donated.
Reorganization is a course of action, takes time, yet is extremely rewarding. That is how to stay clutter optimistic!
