What to expect with the SK way to Organizing Success!
Consult & Listen: We listen and ask questions about the client’s vision of what their space will look after the reorganization process.
Plan: SK then uses the client's vision to propose goals, solutions, and an estimated number of sessions to complete the project.
Implement: Location specific organization can be completed in one session or bundled sessions.
The SK team comes to the client’s home to begin the decluttering and reorganizing event. We can organize with you or complete your projects for you. Whatever you decides we continue to listen to the organizing difficulties, success, and the meaning attached to all their possessions.
Follow-up: We contact the client to question what is working well with the new space and what isn’t working. The key to making the declutter process work is to manage our behavior toward that clutter. In addition, we praise their successful journey to reclaiming their living spaces.
Here is one of our client’s success story.
Kim’s Craft room/office---Total Sessions: 4
Problem: Kim started her own business. Kim has 2 rooms full of her crafts, repurposing projects, photo albums, photos, scrapbook punches & paper. So, nowhere to run her business.
Solutions: (This is a very large project and only 1 part of the project is being discussed.) Divide the 2 rooms into specific functions: Home Office with craft closet & Photo albums/scrapbooks in the other room. This physical act of dividing the rooms by function catapulted Kim to fully prioritize her new passions. Now there was a room dedicated to her business and the other for photo albums, crafts, and scrapbooks.
Comment: Again, it was sorting, inventorying, moving, and making organizing decisions. But the first step was to decide how to divide room functions. It was her Personal Organizer who restated her problem and offered 1 solution that spurred Kim to more and more organizing. She hadn’t thought about that option. Later we addressed her other passions separately in future sessions.
Follow Up: Now that Kim had her own space for her business she was able to keep her business organized and running smoothly. She even repurposed a dresser to use as a filing cabinet!
